Hi my Internet Friends
I will have a promotional stand at the "In Celebration of my Sisters Mother's Day show on the 10th March at Croydon Fairfield Hall, Croydon.
My Stand will be open from 5pm - 10.30pm, so please come down and share a glass of wine with me and lets talk knitting. I will be selling my hand knitted designs and accepting orders if you are interested.
I will be based in the foyer of the Fairfield Hall, this area is free to enter, tickets for the concert can be purchased at the box office or on line.
See the the AD below.
I had for the first time since starting my little emporium was able to set up a stall at the Womens Weekender Expo. As I started knitting for winter most of my things were hats, scarves and baby clothes.
Each item is made from a different type of yarn I really tried hard to make sure that each item is unique in its own way.
To my surprise my own designed beautiful matching set (Hat & Scarf) (to the left) was my first sale at the Expo.
It is amazing how attached I am to each item, I was delighted that others could see the beauty of the garments on display, like my green lofty scarf and the cream loopy scarf, I felt a sad happiness like when your child decides to leave home.
This year Tebbs Second Chances [Tebbs SC] celebrates its fifth year of distributing stationery to disadvantaged school children in West Africa.
Since it was founded by Fiona Luke, Tebbs SC has distributed stationery, reading books and computer equipment to over 4,000 children in seven schools in The Gambia and Sierra Leone.
The small team of volunteers never tell the school that they are coming along – they just turn up at the end of the school day [to cause less disruption] and make sure each child goes home with a stationery pack.
